O.J. Simpson’s Ford Bronco chase on the evening of June 17, 1994 captured the attention of 95 million viewers nationwide.

On that night all US broadcast networks, CNN, ESPN and others interrupted regular programming to show chopper footage from the low-speed chase that included more than a dozen police cars. The Bronco, driven by his friend and former teammate Al Cowlings, drove north on Southern California freeways.

At 6:46 p.m. Pacific on June 17, 1994 A.C. Cowlings placed a 911 call to the CHP communications center in Santa Ana. This is the uncut, digitally remastered audio of A.C.’s call to 911 during the Bronco chase.
